The series of panel discussions hosted at the Turkish Pavilion during COP29, which has drawn extensive global participation, continued on November 18.
Leading specialists held a series of panel discussions under the theme “Human Capital, Youth and Children, Education, and Health.”
Expert evaluations focused on the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the Green Deal, the Circular Economy Action Plan, and EU product directives, with a specific focus on the ongoing implementation of CBAM in Türkiye. The sessions also addressed the creation of nature-based carbon sinks and the efforts of local governments to combat desertification and erosion. In addition, the panels explored new business models emerging from the green development vision, cooperation opportunities that support innovation and employment, and the specific impacts of the climate crisis on women, youth, and public health. Discussions further emphasized developing child- and youth-centered NDC 3.0 strategies and the critical importance of international cooperation in climate action.
Live broadcasts of these sessions will continue on our YouTube channel from November 14 to 22.
