Prof. Halil Hasar, Director of Climate Change, received a delegation from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). During the meeting, held as part of the COP31 process, Director Hasar welcomed Elisabetta Falcetti, EBRD Managing Director for Türkiye and the Caucasus, along with her accompanying delegation, expressing his pleasure regarding the visit. The meeting focused on COP31 preparatory processes, green technology, green finance, adaptation finance, and potential collaboration opportunities with the EBRD in the field of climate change. During the discussions, it was emphasized that Türkiye is a key partner where significant projects are being implemented.

The meeting also covered the themes and substance of Türkiye's COP31 action agenda, while exploring projects to be signed during COP31 once Türkiye’s priorities are established. The EBRD noted that they stand ready to contribute to the process following the finalization of the action agenda and priorities. Director Hasar indicated that the COP31 process continues to move forward on all fronts, adding that consultations with international institutions are ongoing and that they remain open to all perspectives.

The meeting then proceeded with discussions between the respective delegations.
